Triumph

Project is on “PAUSE”

That thing called Real Life has intruded and produced two significant items

1) We decided to undertake a MASSIVE home remodel.

2) We decided to have a baby.
Ok, well, we knew a baby was coming when I bought it but the home remodel thing was a suprise.

So, Ole Betsy is sitting the garage serving as a storage facility for old boxes until ‘06 rolls around but here are the updates from the last few months..

Rust update

The rust has really not been very extensive anywhere. Its concentrated in the following areas with the following fixes planned

B-Posts Plan is to weld in patches, its very shallow.
Rear Deck Plan is to lead it over, very small holes
Floor Boards Gotta replace these puppies.

Thats it for rust!

Drivetrain update

Something is definently wrong in my tranny, probably the dreaded throw-out bearing. Very fixable but I am most likely going to swap the entire thing out for $2500 and move to a rebuilt tranny with A-Type Overdrive.

Last time I tried to drive it the darn beast would not go into gear. True to its LBC Heritage it had leaked out all of its clutch fluid. Oh well, should not really be driving it without seats anyhow :)

Also found a Super Charger for sale but with the house work it fell off my priority list. Hopefully I can still track one down next year.

New parts

Hood! 2nd one bought from ebay (first one sucked). $75!
Front Valance $50 on ebay with some rust pinpricks but very repairable!

Parts yet to find

Front wings Mine have a LOT of bondo on them
Rear Valance Shitloads of bondo, I think this car was lightly rear-ended at some point

Additonal fixes are the confirmed diff mount repair and thats really about it! After that its light body work and total tear-down time!
